Thorney Park: Roll Up - Tues, 24th November at 10:30

An extra and last Roll Up of the season was arranged at Thorney Park (owned by same company as Laleham) to introduce everyone to the new course which we have up to the end of March 2010. A good turn out of 15 BA Golfers played with Jeff Brister winning with a good score of 40 stableford points and Lee Carpenter second on 35 points.

Laleham: Roll Up - Tues, 13th October at 13:00

For the penultimate Roll Up of the season 12 BA Golfers turned out on a fine, sunny day. The course was in very good condition as the recent rain had helped green up the fairways. The various new features that are being added did not detract too much from the play, except that the 15th hole was a par 3 for this round. Conditions were good for scoring and Lee Carpenter won on 40 stableford points with John Jones doing his Cutler-Warrin trophy ambitions no harm at all in second place with 38 points.

Laleham: Roll Up - Wed, 9th September at 14:00

11 BA Golfers turned out for this Roll Up on a warm day, with a light wind. The Laleham fairways were parched in places and firm from the recent dry weather but the greens were in fine condition. Some good scores were returned, notably Richard Collard & Jeff Brister on 37 stableford points but they were beaten by Mike Robinson on 38 pts and the winner, Dave Burton on 39 pts.

Stockley Park: Roll Up - Wed, 19th August at 14:30

On a very hot day 10 golfers played in the last Stockley medal for the foreseeable future. Two golfers tied on points at the top with 38 points, Lee Carpenter winning on countback from John Burns.

Laleham: Roll Up - Mon, 27th July at 14:30

Once again the golf section dodged all the bad weather predictions and the very good turn out of 18 golfers enjoyed a dry, warm afternoon. One of our newer members John Burns turned in the best score of the day with 37 points followed by Clive Jones on 36 points. Steve McDonald pipped Jeff Brister on countback to claim 3rd place with 35 points.

Stockley Park: Roll Up - Tues, 30th June at 14:30

11 golfers rolled up for the stableford competition and to take part in the Summer Medal on an extremely hot (32°C) and sunny day. Virtually all golfers returned points in excess of 30, but Alan Snow won with a very good score of 43 points with Bernie Forbes the next best on 39 points.

Laleham: Roll Up - Thur, 28th May at 14:30

13 golfers played in the Roll Up and Medal with almost perfect weather, warm, sunny and virtually no wind. The Laleham course was in fine condition with quick greens. David Burton was a clear winner with a very good stableford score of 40 points, Jeff Thomas in 2nd on 37 points and after Handicap Sec's review new member, John Burns was 3rd on 33 points.

Stockley Park: Roll Up - Wed, 6th May at 14:30

On a windy but warm and sunny day 16 golfers came to this roll up at Stockley Park, this included one guest - all taking part in the roll up and 15 in the medal. All the many changes to the course over the last eighteen months are starting to bed in but will be a while before all the benefits are seen, but good to see most of the bunkers have now been rebuilt. The main change for the roll up was the recent change to the playing order of holes, which has been completely revamped with the start now at the old 14th hole. The new 10th hole (old 1st) is still not ready so there is still a short par 3, also the 8th & 9th holes have swopped with the 17th and 18th holes.

The recent run of dry weather meant the course was playing like Summer conditions and this must have contributed to some very good scoring with 7 members getting 36 or more points. John Jones was runner up with 39 stableford points having a better back nine that Surinder Kalsi who came 3rd with the same score. However the winner by 4 points was Bernie Forbes with an excellent total of 43 points.

Laleham: Roll Up - Tues, 31st March at 14:30

A really good turn out of 18 golfers came for the second Roll Up of the season and most also took part in the Medal competition. We had lovely spring, warm weather with just a hint of a breeze for this event at Laleham which gave most of those taking part a first opportunity to see the various improvements being made to the course and the clubhouse make over. The course was in very good condition but the scoring did not match, only one person did better than his handicap. Sean Hanson was a clear winner on 39 stableford points, with Ian Forde 2nd with 34 pts and Alfie Clarke 3rd with 33 pts.

Stockley Park: Roll Up - Wed, 11th March at 12:30

The first BA Golf event of the season started with 11 members turning out on a dry afternoon with pleasant sunshine for good parts of the round. Everyone took part in the stableford competition, Chris Walker winning with a very good total of 40 points and Sean Hanson runner up on 38 points.
